T-shirt InterAmerica

After foolishly thinking we couldn't sweat any more than we already were from the weather, we headed over to T-Shirts InterAmerica, owned by the family of  Bryant student and Panama native, Linette, who met us there and helped give the tour with her father. Started 32 years ago, T-Shirts InterAmerica started as a printing factory with only 11 employees, which has since expanded to 486.
There was air conditioning in a few rooms where the machines need cooler air to operate, but other than that the temperature in the factory was MUCH higher than outside, which happened to hit 91 degrees today.

We watched the steps of creating and printing out the shirts, from the original cutting of the materials to the printing of designs.

Along with T-Shirts, they also print designs on hats, bottles, posters, and much more!

Oh and please don't touch that black machine, because it costs $400,000.... they had four of them.

We also got to see all of the shirts leaving the factory....

At the end of the tour, we  received t-shirts (as we were hoping) and key chains (not as expected as the t-shirts).

From all of us at SIE Latin America, we would like to thank Linette and her family for the tour, and we carry on with our adventure one t-shirt and keychain richer!
